What’s Not Covered?
We strive to cover as much as possible, but there are a few things your warranty won’t include. Here’s what to keep in mind:
Exclusions:
- Wear and Tear: Over time, parts naturally wear out. If your car’s had a lot of miles on it, we won’t cover the gradual breakdown of components (unless it’s less than 6 years old or has under 60,000 miles).
- Consumables: Things like tyres, brake pads, wiper blades, light bulbs, and exhaust systems aren’t covered.
- Accidents and Environmental Damage: Damage caused by a collision, fire, or other environmental issues like floods won’t be covered.
- Neglect: If your car breaks down due to lack of maintenance or using incorrect parts, your warranty won’t apply.
- Electric Vehicle Battery Degradation: The warranty doesn’t cover battery wear and tear in electric vehicles; it’s about faults, not natural degradation.
Who’s Eligible for This Warranty?
The CarSupermarket.com Standard 12-Month Warranty is available to UK, Isle of Man, and Channel Islands residents. To be eligible, your car must meet the following criteria at the time of purchase
- Vehicle Use: Must be used for social, domestic, or light business purposes.
- Mileage Limit: Your vehicle should have less than 100,000 miles at the time of purchase.
- Age Limit: Vehicles must be no older than 6 years.
