How is EV range calculated?
EV range is simply the number of miles an EV can travel on a single charge. A guideline range (miles) can be calculated by dividing the capacity of the battery (kWh) by the energy consumption (kWh / 100 miles) and multiplying by 100.
For example, if your EVs battery capacity is 100 kWh and you’re using 32 kWh per 100 miles, the estimated range is 312.5 miles.
